JOSHUA ADEM GIONFRIDDO, EIT
Joshua Gionfriddo joined Structures Workshop in 2009. He’s served as structural
engineer on building projects in addition to designing steel connections for structures
ranging from 200 to 5500 tons. He actively writes computer programs to optimize the
connection design process. Josh’s project experience includes the structural design of a
moment resisting frame structure and several renovations, commercial and house
projects. He also has experience in ornamental metal design, anchor design, lift
calculations and engineered lumber design for residential construction.
Joshua Gionfriddo holds a bachelors degree from the University of Massachusetts
Dartmouth (Civil Engineering / Summa Cum Laude) and is completing his masters
degree (Structural Engineering) at the same institution. He received the 2010 Alan
Campbell Award, presented each year by UMASS Dartmouth to the highest ranking
senior (GPA) in civil and environmental engineering and the 2010 Howe/Walker Award,
presented each year by the Boston Society of Civil Engineers to outstanding students
active in ASCE. Josh is a certified EIT and a member of ASCE, BSCES and SEARI.
